This is a very simple and delicious Rice dish.
When you want to impress someone with a good Indian Dish ...but are short on time...this is what you want to cook....It goes very well with any of your favorite Chicken,Mutton or vegetable curries.
Your guests will shower you with praise and no one will know how easy it was to put it all together.
Ingredients :
2 cups Basmati Rice (Indian Long Grain Rice)
1/2 cup coriander leaves
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste (GG)
2 tsp Cumin seeds
2 tbsp Butter
8 Whole Cashew nuts
Salt to taste
Dry Whole Masala: (DWM)
2 Cloves
1/2 Stick Cinnamon
2 Cardamom
2 Bay Leaves
Method:
Heat some oil along with butter in a heavy-bottomed pan till hot,add the DWM and fry them until its fragrant, then add the cumin seeds and cashew nuts.
Lower the heat and add the GG and fry for a few till the raw smell fades....
Add the rice and chopped coriander leaves, saute for a few seconds.
Pour in the warm water and add the salt.
Transfer the contents to a Rice Cooker and cook as per instruction.
Enjoy with you favorite curry / stew.
